AUDIENCES HAVE ONLY TWO MORE CHANCES TO SEE JON ROBERTSON PERFORM

The Redlands Symphony's Conductor Will Retire on April 16 After 33 Years Leading the Orchestra

REDLANDS, CA -- As difficult as it may be for music fans to believe, audiences only have two remaining opportunities to see beloved conductor and pianist Jon Robertson perform before he retires as Music Director of the Redlands Symphony after 33 years leading the orchestra.

On Sunday, April 10 at 2 PM, Robertson will give his final Redlands performance as a pianist when he joins with internationally-acclaimed soprano Angel Blue for an afternoon of songs by Rachmaninoff, Strauss, and others. A very limited number of seats are available for this concert, and the audience is invited to meet the artists at a reception following the performance. The performance will be held at the Redlands Adventist Church at 520 Brookside, and this special concert, which is not part of the Symphony's subscription series, gives music lovers the opportunity to see these renowned artists perform in a uniquely intimate environment.

The following Saturday, Maestro Robertson will take the podium for one last performance as he leads the Redlands Symphony in his final concert before his retirement as Music Director and Conductor of the orchestra. The program, which features music by Mozart, Barber, and Beethoven, promises to be an emotional and bittersweet evening serving as a capstone to his 33-year tenure leading the orchestra.

Tickets for both performances are available at RedlandsSymphony.com or by calling (909) 748-8018. The Redlands Symphony is an independent non-profit organization which has been bringing classical music and music education to the region's communities for 66 years.
