Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to experience a memorable evening of thrilling music.

Don’t worry, this message won’t self-destruct. The concert just may sell out.

Enjoy classical music that explores our history.

Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances paint Renaissance melodies with the passion of Italian romanticism. The great Italian composer paid tribute to his predecessors— including Galileo’s father— with these vivid arrangements.

Tonight’s program draws on six centuries of human experience.

Respighi brings the life and color of the 20th century to 16th-century Renaissance melodies. The music of Handel and Haydn epitomizes 18th-century sophistication. Lalo Schifrin’s orchestral jazz themes immediately evoke 1960s energy.

Exciting music that looks to our future.

Be the first audience to hear the brand new Tuba Concerto by Lalo Schifrin, composer of the famous Mission: Impossible theme and dozens of other film and television scores. Famed tubist Gene Pokorny of the Chicago Symphony will be with us to perform the premiere of this exciting new work. It’s just one more way we’re bringing the world’s musicians to our community.

What a great evening. I didn’t want the music to stop. What a thrill to be part of it... My personal thanks to you for your marvelous insight into the music and the composers. Thanks so much for enriching my life each month.
