Wallfisch Conducts Vaughan Williams, Stravinsky, and Tchaikovsky
8:00pm at Memorial Chapel
Benjamin Wallfisch is well-known as a conductor and composer. In addition to conducting orchestras throughout Europe and the United States, he has scored dozens of films and television shows, earning an Emmy Award nomination in the process. The gorgeous melodies of Vaughan Williams and Tchaikovsky will contrast with the elegant wit of Stravinsky’s Pulcinella in Maestro Wallfisch’s program.

Robertson Conducts Shostakovich and Beethoven
8:00pm at Memorial Chapel
“I have invited cellist Doniyor Zuparov to open my final season with one of the most difficult pieces ever written for the instrument, and I promise that you will be stunned by his artistry. Juxtaposing Beethoven's playful 8th Symphony against the intensity of Shostakovich's virtuoso showpiece sets the perfect tone to open our season.” - Jon Robertson
