Baritone Brian Jensen has performed with the Music Academy of the West, the Santa Barbara Choral Society, Santa Barbara Symphony, and Opera Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara’s historic Granada and Arlington Theatres; with Nickel City Opera in Buffalo’s Riviera Theatre and the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus in Kleinhans Music Hall; and with Lyric Opera of Orange County, Independent Opera Company (Los Angeles), Redlands Opera Theatre, Intimate Opera Company (Pasadena), Musica Viva (Redlands), and other companies throughout Southern California. He recently sang as the bass soloist in Beethoven’s Mass in C Major with the Pass Chorale (Banning), and is a regular soloist at the First Congregational Church in Redlands. Roles in Mr. Jensen’s operatic repertoire include Melchior, Guglielmo, Mercutio, Gianni Schicchi, Masetto, Barnaba, Figaro, Boatswain’s Mate, Sulpice, and Rapunzel’s Prince. He has sung dozens of additional roles in scenes and selections, from opera to Gilbert & Sullivan to musical theater. Mr. Jensen holds a Master of Arts in Music Theory from the State University of New York at Buffalo, which integrates his passions for music and mathematics.
