What is your role at the Symphony and how long have you worked there?
I work in Patron Services and Administration. I will start my 4th season with the Symphony this July.
What is your favorite part about your job?
Being able to provide music to my community is the best part. The children we serve through our OrKIDstra programs are a joy! Also, seeing our friendly and loyal patrons smile after each concert is fantastic!
Why did you choose to share these pieces?
I chose familiar classics that evoke a variety of emotions- joy, love, power, loss, tradition, awe for nature- and they all spark my imagination. When I listen to music, I often visualize dancers or a theatrical production. Music is another form of storytelling.
Brahms: Passion & Tenderness
Few composers unite the heart and the mind like Johannes Brahms, and few works demonstrate this fusion of emotion and intellect more than his powerful Symphony No. 3.
