Lynda Schauf is one of those people who seem to be in constant motion, so whirling around the dance floor as one of the “stars” in this year’s Dancing with the Stars showcase should be a piece of cake for her.
Lynda is native to Redlands and has been the owner of Laura’s Travel in downtown Redlands since 1971. She’s the mother of two children, Michael and Teri (and son-in-law Casey) and the very proud grandmother of Hunter, 4, and Nash, 21 months. “My two grandchildren are my second career,” says Lynda.
As you might imagine, travel is Lynda’s greatest passion. When she’s not on a plane or cruise ship, she’s busy helping make Redlands the special place it is. Lynda is a past board member of the Redlands Symphony Association, past president and board member of the Rotary Club of Redlands, the Redlands YWCA, and the Downtown Redlands Association. She has been on the board of Montessori in Redlands and is currently a board member of Redlands Festival of Arts and the Redlands Historical Museum Association.
“I love to dance, and I can’t wait to raise money to help support the Redlands Symphony,” says Lynda. “I’m really looking forward to dancing in front of an audience. I guess there’s a little bit of show biz in me too.”
