Patty Peoples

Dancer

Patty Peoples is a mother, wife, teacher, and an accomplished sportswoman – make that extremely accomplished sportswoman.

Patty has been a Redlands resident for 31 years. She and her husband, Tom Resh, were married in 1993, and they have one daughter, Holly, who will graduate from UCSD this coming June.

“My passion is all things fitness,” says Patty. “I love researching, teaching, coaching, motivating, and inspiring my students and others about the importance of adopting a healthy and fit lifestyle, so they will be able to have a high quality of life for life.” And talk about practicing what you preach, Patty competes for Team USA and Team ERDINGER Non-Alcohol in the sport of duathlons (run/bike/run).

She also enjoys the following activities: snowshoeing, downhill skiing, inline skating, swimming, waterskiing, rock climbing, fishing, jump roping, lifting weights, cycling, running, walking, watching movies, dancing, and so much more.

“I also love to dance, and I thought it would be fun to combine that love with helping to raise money for a worthy cause like the Redlands Symphony,” Patty says. “That’s why I’m excited to be part of the Gala’s Dancing with the Stars showcase.”

In the community, Patty is active in the Associates of the Redlands Bowl and is on the board of the 5th Avenue Pool. She is also a member of Redlands Town and Gown and Chair of the Women’s Committee on the United States of America Triathlon Federation Southwest Region Council.
