Born and raised in Redlands, Ruben Mendoza has deep personal and family roots in the local community.
Ruben’s first job was at the Redlands Country Club. That was 26 years ago. He is still employed at RCC, currently as the club’s Assistant Manager, overseeing all of the club’s operations. “What I thought would be a summer job has turned into my career,” Ruben says happily.
Ruben and his wife Jenna have two daughters who play the piano and are homeschooled. Jenna also worked at RCC. When he’s not working, Ruben enjoys golfing, hiking, the movies, and vacationing with his family.
“I’m excited to support the Symphony’s music education programs for kids by being one of these dancers at the 2019 Gala,” Ruben says. “My wife’s grandparents were season subscribers for many years, and they would be proud that I’m doing something to benefit this great organization.”
“I don’t dance too well; just ask my family,” says Ruben. “So hopefully, after some lessons, I’ll be able to show off what I’ve learned and feel comfortable on the dance floor. I really don’t want to fall down during my performance.”
