In 1984, after completing a pediatric residency program at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Dr. Albert H. Dr. Arteaga, and his wife Maria Arteaga, RN, saw only two patients on their first day of being open for business on June 13, 1984.

In the following years, the practice added new doctors and eventually more locations, resulting in the present number of five clinics serving over 30,000 members in the Inland Empire. Moreover, in 1996, LaSalle formed the IPA and has since enjoyed consistent growth, serving over 400,000 members across California. This includes a robust team of over 4,000 contracted specialists and 1,500 primary care providers. In June 2025, LaSalle launched a new primary-care based community group, Maren Medical Group, founded to look after the wellbeing of our communities, with a location in Beaumont and Yucaipa.

LaSalle is committed to community based healthcare that ensures maximum availability of medical services at the highest level of quality. Through partnerships with leading health plans, hospitals and medical provider partners, LaSalle maintains a maximally efficient healthcare delivery system that is geographically focused.
