Recital Series Opens January 25th

Get up-close and personal with the RSO

The Redlands Symphony is proud to announce the opening ofthe Redlands Recital Series, sponsored by Jerry & Marilyn Bean with additional support from Dr. Karen Hansberger. Now in its 3rd season, the Redlands Recital Series brings RSO musicians from the stage of the Memorial Chapel into Downtown Redlands, providing a short and fulfilling concert of each performer’s favorite pieces of music.

RSO Principal Clarinetist Kathryn Nevin

RSO Principal Clarinetist Kathryn Nevin opens the series on Sunday, January 25th at 2:30pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Redlands, performing with RSO Principal Viola Kira Blumberg and frequent collaborator, pianist Lara Urrutia. This recital features music for clarinet, viola, and piano—an unusually sonorous combination—featuring the musical voices of Paquito D’Rivera, Rebecca Clarke, Max Bruch, and Kenji Bunch.

RSO Principal Cellist Aristides Rivas

Giving his premiere performance on the Redlands Recital Series, we are pleased to welcome RSO's Principal Cellist Aristides Rivas to the curatorial family! Aristides was appointed Principal Cellist of the Redlands Symphony in 2024. His recital will be Sunday, February 22nd, 2026 at 2:30PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Redlands. Aristides is joined by violinist Elge Jakova and pianist Lara Urrutia in a program of piano trio treasures.

RSO Principal Bassoon Jonathan Stehney

RSO Principal Bassoonist Jonathan Stehney wraps up the Recital Series on Sunday, March 22nd, when he is joined by other bassoonists in the area to present a fun-filled afternoon of bassoon trio and quartet music, with a few surprises along the way.

All recitals are held at 2:30pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Redlands. Tickets are $25 for adults and free for students with valid student ID. Tickets can be purchased online at RedlandsSymphony.com/tickets, over the phone at 909-587-5565, or at the door beginning at 1:30pm.
